Day 8 - Liberty/Ellis Island

We thought we did pretty good finding a parking place someone close to where we would have to buy the tickets but it ended up being about a 30 min. walk. Still not too bad though.
We did the audio tour for the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
It was interesting to learn of the many people that played a role in the design, architecture, building, transporting, etc.
A view from the ferry. As we were about to board the ferry Becca said she didn't feel good and she needed to sit down. She was pretty close to passing out and I ended up holding her up and guiding her to a seat. She was dehydrated and Ben bought her a couple bottles of water. One bottle she finished while we rode the ferry for a complete loop to give her time to relax and drink. That was enough time for her to feel better and want to continue on to Ellis Island.
A view of the city.
The beginning of the tour at Ellis Island.
