'Egg'cellent Engineer

The third graders have an assignment to package their egg up in whatever materials they choose except for balloons and parchutes. A fireman will drop their eggs from a ladder, 15 ft. high. The goal is to have your egg in one piece without any cracks. The student whose egg doesn't crack and has the lightest packaging, will be declared an 'egg'cellent engineer.

The girls worked on their packaging tonight. When their box was ready, they all went outside and Ben threw it as high as he could and it hit the ground hard. Stephanie's first attempt revealed a broken egg. She made some changes and tried again. Still broke. Jessica had success with her first attempt. She is sticking with what she put together and Stephanie may rethink hers more. Jessica's is heavier than Stephanie's.

I'm waiting to see what happens Friday before I post details on their packaging.
