Ben is officially a teenager. He wanted to stay after school today for two basketball games. He thought he could borrow Rad's phone so he could call when the game was over. We got him a phone for his birthday and Rad called it last night and handed it to him telling him the phone was for him. He was trying to figure out whose phone it was. He couldn't believe that we bought him a phone. An admonition of what happened with the last one and he was busy the rest of the night setting up voice mail, phone numbers, texting, etc. He was hot cheese on a cracker again today now that he has a phone again.
He was gone for almost 12 hours today at school and at both basketball games. As soon as he came in the door we had his birthday cake and he was given his other gifts. His cake is a Boston Cream cake with little cupcakes around it for those of us that aren't too hot on Boston Cream. Don't you love the sombrero?
