Jessica and Stephanie had their 4,000th day of being with us. To celebrate the occasion, I performed a true act of love, I made chicken and dumplings for Stephanie. I really am not fond of dumplings. This is what she orders if we go to Cracker Barrel because it is the only place she gets it. While eating, she commented that my dish was better than Cracker Barrel's. Yay!!
I made chocolate cake for Jessica. While everyone else chooses vanilla, she opts for chocolate. It seemed like a perfect choice for her. Every time I make a basic cake from scratch, I always wonder why I buy the mixes. I suppose it is for convenience but homemade is definitely better.
They were both happy with their special dinner and dessert.
