Friday we went to Orlando to be with some friends that are here doing the Disney thing. We were planning to go to Magic Kingdom but it wasn't a good day for that with all of the rain. We ended up going to lunch at Cici's and then to the Orlando Science Center (OSC). (For those of you in ABQ, very much like Explora!)
The OSC seemed a little young for our friends and I was afraid it would be a less than exciting experience for them, but it turned out to be really fun and I think we all enjoyed being there and with each other. There was a presentation on 'gators, some snakes, etc. to look at; a lot of hands on energy/force exhibits; some simulation for planes and cars.
One of the things they had at the OSC was a computer psychologist, which cracked me up. The computer's psychologist's name as Eliza. Below is the part of Stephanie's "session" that I was so amused with.
Eliza: What is troubling you?
Stephanie: The place is going to close
Eliza: Perhaps you'd rather talk about something else.
Stephanie: Why?
Eliza: Have you asked such questions before?
Stephanie: Yes
Eliza: I am glad to see you so confident.
Stephanie: Thank you.
We then went to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes (yum!) and then we went to the Orlando Temple and walked around the grounds before returning to their hotel. Ben and MacKe played the Wii in the gameroom at their hotel while we visited, played darts and fed fish. A really nice visit with some great people.
