We went to my mother's house for Thanksgiving. The weather was dismal all week and about 40 degrees cooler than we have at home. The kids didn't wear a sweater for the most part. Aside from working on the cross-stitch (see previous post), my mom and I spent a lot of the week with pictures. My aunt has pictures that belonged to my grandmother and they were damaged from a fire at my aunt's house years ago. She sent them here so we could scan them during our visit. My mom did a majority of the cleaning on the photos and organized them for scanning. I scanned them and now there are over 400 pictures stored digitally. I'm excited to have these pictures. We also went to visit my great-aunt and she had a picture on the wall of my great-grandparents with individual pictures of their 14 kids. She let me bring it to my mother's house to scan it. More pictures!

The kids got to go to the Rainforest Cafe one day to meet up with a friend of Rad's and his family. Their first time there and they enjoyed it. We played Uno, Apples to Apples and marbles. Ben & Rad played basketball across the street at the neighbors. It goes without saying that there was some geocaching.
During a game of Apples to Apples, one of the words we were playing was short. Someone put in Christmas and I commented that it was short. Stephanie concurred saying, "it is short because it used to be 12 days and now it is only 1."

We always go to a sub shop here when we visit to get a cajun chicken sub. Rad and a couple of the kids stopped by on their way home to pick up lunch and Ben has decided this is his favorite now. He suggested we could stop by and get one for our trip home, perhaps call and find out what sauce they use.
