Ben did his 2 weeks of band camp. They performed a few of the songs for the families last Thursday night and did one of their routines on the field. I brought my camera to take pictures only to turn it on and discover the memory card was in my laptop. Bummers. I liked watching them move around on the field. It was hard to keep track of Ben with 218 members of the band on the field. The last week of summer break included a couple of sleepovers, several parties, movies and hanging out with friends.
Ben started seminary today and he looks tired. He stayed up late last night explaining to me that you are always charged the first day of school so it is easy to get up. He did get up fairly well, but didn't hear his alarm. Stephanie and Jessica had their alarm set for PM instead of AM so they needed to be woken up too. Becca doesn't need to set an alarm with school starting so late for her.
Everyone had a good first day at school. One of Ben's classes was in a different room so he had to figure that out. Becca had to ask for help once for a class that she couldn't find. Jessica and Stephanie will tell you they had it easy. I was the only one with "homework". Who knew they could find more forms to fill out when so many were filled out at the end of last year and at the registrations.
There are so many kids for the high school and elementary school that there are 2 buses at each stop and that is the only stop on the route. Our middle school bus has one bus and 2 stops - ours and another 1/2 a mile away. Lots and lots of kids.
