I attended a bell ringers breakfast for Independence Day. There were veterans from a couple of wars welcomed at the breakfast.
The State Regent talked about her project of gathering books for foster children, the importance of reading, the challenges her son had and how books helped.
At the end of the event, everyone sang, "Yankee Doodle Dandy" and then we all rang our bells.
