For the Birds

Thursday I was working on gathering my supplies for roundtable.  While going back and forth from my desk to the printer in the bedroom, I looked out the window and saw 4 different birds in our back yard at the same time.  In the picture above, you can see the ibis and the ducks are closer to the water.  I didn't want to scare them off so I stayed back a bit.  To their left were 2 sandhill cranes.

To the left of the cranes were 2 black vultures (turkey vultures have red heads), although I saw 3 later.  Sometimes I can hear the vultures land on the roof of our house.  It is surprising how noisy their landings are, they sound clumsy.
