This year Rad, Ben & Stephanie ran the 5K. Becca, Jessica and I helped pass out the water and Gatorade to the runners. Jessica was our photographer for the event. Stephanie ran on the other side of the road and escaped view until she was running by us and called out to us. Jessica did get a picture as she ran away from us, but you most likely have seen that one on Facebook.
Rad placed 15th for his age group. His time was 25:24.
It has been a quiet month for us with the usual happenings of school, work, scouts, etc. We enjoyed our 5 day weekend and got 2 trees up and some garland with lights and a nativity or two. Still more to go but my focus this week will be Christmas cards, a Pack Meeting and a Court of Honor (with the usual happenings).
The twins have a couple of field trips coming up. They are going to Cape Canaveral this week and Epcot in December. Funny thing about Epcot is, the day they go, they will obviously get back in the evening and it just happens to be the night of the Winter Social for Rad's work. We both knew the trip was coming but didn't connect the dots until I went to add it to my calendar. We are looking forward to a couple of upcoming concerts with strings and chorus. Becca has a "coffee house" coming up that I'm sad to miss because they are fun but I will be at the park that night with other Unit Commissioners helping with Lightfest.
