The YW had a dinner and auction to raise money for girls camp. We had two cakes made but one stuck to the pan so they ended up making a pan of brownies and auctioning them off.
This cake . . .
. . . sold for $150!!!!
I made this quilt for the auction. It would be ideal for a toddler or preschooler. The pattern lists it as a throw but it was only 41x49, which doesn't meet throw size in my world. ha!
The pattern also called for 4 yards of backing, which I thought was crazy for such a small quilt. I had leftover strips from the front so I used 1-1/2 yards of backing cutting it off-center to add a row of the strips. The auction was successful raising what they needed and more.
