Tibia & Fibula

Ben was sent home from his mission to heal.  He broke his tibia and fibula playing basketball on Saturday.  I received a phone call early in the evening and got to talk with him.  He told me that he was playing basketball and he did a lay up and when he came down someone bumped into him.  

Fortunately they were able to get him into surgery that night and he now has a rod and 3 screws.  He arrived home this afternoon and now we need to get him to an orthopedic specialist.  

While I'm very sorry this happened, I'm happy to have him home for Thanksgiving and most likely Christmas.  He is anxious to heal and get back to the mission.
